Management occupations
In management occupations, you can develop a career path that takes you into any of the four construction sectors:
- New Home Building and Renovation
- Heavy Industrial Construction
- Institutional and Commercial Construction
- Civil Engineering
Management careers in the construction sector may begin with certification [1] as a construction worker or with on-the-job experience, but in most cases some post-secondary study [2] is essential. Many managers start in unrelated fields such as business, marketing or accounting. Sometimes they work in other industries before discovering construction.
