Design and engineering professions
In design and engineering professions, you can develop a career path that takes you into any of the four construction sectors:
- New Home Building and Renovation
- Heavy Industrial Construction
- Institutional and Commercial Construction
- Civil Engineering
You may enter design or engineering careers by taking college or university programs, but you can also begin in a trade or occupation such as Electrician [1], Landscaper [2] or Surveyor [3]. Certification and work experience provide a great background if you choose to pursue a diploma or degree in the same field, or in another construction-related trade or occupation.
